Questions

  • Pray and invite God into this time with Him.

  • Read 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12. 

  • Think about some of the lessons your parents (or parental figures in your life) taught you. Are those lessons still with you today? Do those still impact your life? 

  • What lessons are you teaching your children? 

  • Read Proverbs 5:19, 1 Corinthians 6:18. 

  • How can you explain to your kids the ‘why’ behind wanting them to stay sexually pure till marriage, rather than making it seem like you’re lecturing them? 

  • Read Deuteronomy 6:6. 

  • You can’t pass something onto your kids that you don’t believe yourself. What kind of example are you setting for your kids? Do you live the life you want them to live? 

  • Who are you surrounding your kids with? Who are the other people in their lives influencing them?


Spiritual Practice
Prayer: Spend time in prayer with God. Thank Him for the blessing of your kids and the kids in your life. Ask Him to help guide them and to help you guide them.
