Questions

  • Pray and invite God into this time with Him.

  • Read Genesis 2:15-17, 3:1-6. 

  • Have you ever had times in your life where you questioned God and the rules? How did that affect your relationship/perception of Him? 

  • It’s easy to think we know best for ourselves and to trust our will over His. What are moments in your life where God proved to you that that wasn’t actually true? 

  • Read Genesis 3:7-10. 

  • When you make a mistake or do something shameful, what’s your first reaction? Is it to hide? Why do you think that is? 

  • What are you trying to hide in your life right now? From others or from God? 

  • Read Genesis 3:16-19. 

  • The gap between the way things are and the way they should be is death. Discuss the way things are currently and how they should be if we hadn’t sinned in the first garden.


Spiritual Practice
Prayer: Spend time in prayer with God. Ask for forgiveness for the things you’ve been trying to Him. Thank Him for loving us despite all our doubts and questions. Ask for clarity and discernment so you see yourself the way He sees you.
