Be a Man Week 3
Questions
Pray and invite God into this time with Him.
Read Genesis 2:7.
Read 1 Corinthians 13:11.
Do you feel you’ve made the shift from boy to man (child to adult)? What was the shift that made you realize you had matured?
If you haven’t made that shift (or aren’t sure if you have), talk about the differences between being a boy (child) and being a man (adult). Then discuss steps you can start taking to become a man (adult).
Read Proverbs 1:4.
The book of Proverbs is full of wisdom, not just for young men but for everyone. Consider reading a chapter of Proverbs each day until you finish the book.
Read Proverbs 27:17.
Do you have great friends? What kind of people are you surrounding yourself with? People who bring you closer to Jesus? Or people who pull you away from Jesus?
Read Ephesians 5:25.
Men are called to love their wives the way Christ loves the church. Talk about this in the context of Adam (the first man) and how he treated Eve after eating the fruit (Genesis 3:12) versus how Jesus treated the women caught in adultery (John 8:10-11).
Men are also called to honor women, not just wives, but all women in their lives. Men, how can you start honoring all the women in your life?
