  • Pray and invite God into this time with Him.

  • Read Genesis 1:3; John 8:12; Matthew 2:9-10. 

  • Throughout the Bible light is used as a guide, pointing to the fact that Jesus is our guide. Do you let Jesus guide your life? If not, how can you start letting Him be your guide? 

  • What are some questions you’ve asked God? How have you seen Him come through for you? 

  • Light helps us see what’s in front of us, just like Jesus helps us see the truth. How can you start relying on Jesus to show you the truth when you struggle to discern what’s true and what’s not? How can you start incorporating Jesus into all of your decisions & thoughts? 

  • Read John 1:1,9, & 14. 

  • Have you ever thought that God is distant and cold? That He’s far away from you and constantly disappointed in you? How do the verses you just read encourage you to change your perspective?


Spiritual Practice
Prayer: Spend time in prayer with God. Thank Him for sending His Son to be our light & our guide. Ask Jesus to help guide you through life–through the difficult decisions & hard conversations. Thank Him for being the warmth in our souls.
