  • Pray and invite God into this time with Him.

  • Read Genesis 29:16-27

  • Jacob worked for many years to marry Rachel, but was given Leah instead. How do you respond when life doesn’t go as planned? Do you trust God in moments of disappointment or frustration? 

  • Jacob then had to work twice as long to get Rachel. How do you handle the moments where it feels like God is making you wait? Are you patient or do you struggle with being impatient? 

  • How can you start shifting your perspective around waiting? 

  • Read Genesis 29:30-32

  • How do you navigate the complexities of relationships, especially when they feel unfair or not as you expected, like Jacob’s relationship with Leah & Rachel? 

  • Leah felt unnoticed and unwanted by Jacob, so God blessed her with a child. God saw her when no one else did. How does that encourage you to remember that God sees you and chooses you? 

  • Read Genesis 30:1-6.

  • Rachel didn’t trust God, so she went and did her own thing instead of trusting in His plan. When have you done that in your own life? How did it work out for you? 

  • How can you start trusting God’s plan for your life?


Spiritual Practice
Prayer: Spend time in prayer with God. Ask Him to help you fully put your trust in Him. Ask Him for patience in the waiting and to find peace in Him. Thank Him for choosing you and seeing you, even when it feels like no one else does.
