Summer at Embrace Week 4

Questions

  • Pray and invite God into this time with Him.

  • Talk about what you think “evangelism” means. Then look up the definition and discuss the similarities/differences between what you thought it meant and what it actually means.

  • Talk about a time where you wanted to talk about Jesus with someone but were too scared to do it. And then discuss why you were scared: scared to make it awkward, scared of saying the wrong thing, scared of losing a friend.

  • Read Colossians 4:2-4.

  • Do you pray for specific people in your life? People you want to know Jesus?

  • Read 1 Peter 3:15 & Romans 10:14.

  • Are you someone who speaks up about God and how He’s working in your life? Or do you prefer to move in silence? God wants us to share with others, kindly but boldly. Think of one practical way you can be ready and willing to share your faith with others.

  • If you were standing at the gates of heaven and God asked, “why should I let you in?”, what would you say?

  • How confident are you, on a scale of 0-100%, that your answer would get you into heaven?

  • Read Ephesians 2:8-9 & 1 Corinthians 3:6-8.

  • Our responsibility is to have faith in Jesus and share that with others. God’s responsibility is the results. How does that encourage you as you continue in your walk with Jesus?

Spiritual Practice
Prayer: Spend time in prayer with God. Ask Him to give you the right words to say to others. Pray for someone specific in your life that you want to know Jesus, and ask Him to work in their hearts.
