Raise Them Up Week 1

Questions

  • Pray and invite God into this time with Him.

  • Whether you have children or you don’t, how do you pour into the lives of young people & the next generation? Do you even do that at all?

  • Do you feel pressure to be a perfect parent? Where do you feel that pressure coming from? Is it coming from outside sources, or is it coming from yourself?

  • Read Psalm 139:7-10; Psalm 46:1; Zephaniah 3:17.

  • What changes can you start making to be present in your kid’s lives (or the lives of the young people you have an impact on) instead of trying so hard to be perfect?

  • Read Proverbs 25:11

  • Words can shape our lives. Think of words that were said to you as a child and if they shaped you in a positive way or a negative way.

  • What words are your kids waiting to hear from you?

  • Are you present with your kids? Not just physically, but mentally?

  • What are ways you can start seeing your kids, connecting with them, & delighting in them?

  • Read James 5:16

  • Prayer is powerful. Do you pray for your kids, for your family, for your relationships? If not, challenge yourself to add that to your daily routine going forward.

Spiritual Practice
Prayer: Spend time in prayer with God. Pray for your kids, for your family, for anyone you make an impact on. Ask God to help you be a positive influence on those people. Thank Him for blessing you with those relationships.
